Dr. Kulin Kothari, Founder, Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre, has always believed in eradicating preventable blindness from our country by providing comprehensive eye-care services of the highest quality. Dr. Kulin Kothari founded Bombay City Eye Institute & Research Centre in 1991. 

He received his basic medical training and post-graduate residency training at BYL Nair Hospital, Mumbai. He was the Gold medalist and University topper in his MS and DOMS examinations. He has undergone specialty training from USA, UK and Germany in areas of Cataract, Glaucoma and Refractive surgery. 

His areas of interest include Community Eye Care. He has been a reviewer for International Journals in Ophthalmology. 

He has numerous presentations across the world to his credit. He has been a ‘guru’ to scores of Ophthalmologists across India in the field of cataract surgery. He has been conferred numerous awards and accolades in recognition to his contributions to Ophthalmology and to the society.
